Has anyone else read Ruby Payne's "Framework for Understanding Poverty"?

We had a woman come to our school system and do a one day workshop (which was distincly uninspiring) and then I read the book (which I found intriguing). The reviews on amazon.com seem pretty split between "brilliantly insightful" and "insultingly stereotypical." What are your thoughts?
