A friend on Facebook disappeared but she didn't unfriend me?

So a friend of mine on Facebook disappeared from my friends list and when I checked her profile it appeared that she had unfriended me, but when I asked her she said she didn't (and I didn't unfriend her). Is this a glitch from Facebook?
