What are some REALLY old country singers?

I like really old country, before it went to lime dancing, and singing about doin' the farmers daughter. See, my mom likes country, and I hate just about every song they play on the station. So, I'm looking for people like Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn so I can ask for there albums so mom gets her country fix and I'm not pulling my ears off :P Thanks!
