How to know if a guy is serious about you?

You guys are bad with words. But so am I. I can't tell him that i feel very seriously about him, because i get the feeling he is not serious about me. Anyway should i "dissapear" and see if he contacts me? I ran out of ideas how to check if he is serious about me or just playing games with me.
