Can I use the Federal Pell Check that came in the mail to buy a laptop?

I received a Federal Pell Check in the mail the other day, and I was wondering if I could use it to buy a Laptop or any other things. Can I cash this check that I got? FAFSA payed for my spring semester Tuition and i guess this is the left over money to use. Any ideas. I attend a Cuny School if that helps.
