Has political turmoil gotten so bad that we have to resort to "The Treatment"?

When I mean the treatment I mean putting our entire system on chemotherapy. Everything has gotten so bad with politics, to the point of where riots are starting and people are even getting injured and killed because of different beliefs, we need to end it. We have two parties, we have the far right freaks and the far left loonies with no ground for the moderate to stand in between.
